Building Department
The Building Department is responsible for ensuring public safety through plan reviews, permitting, and inspections which enforce and certify compliance with City code and regulations.
Contractor Registration
If you are a new contractor wanting to register with the City of Titusville, please email buildingpermits@titusville.com with the following documents: State License and/or County Comp Card, Business Tax Receipt (from the city/county your business is located) , General Liability and Workman's Comp with the City of Titusville listed as the certificate holder.
We have a portal for on-line permitting. Please register using this link - BSA Online – once you have registered, send your username and email address to BuildingPermits@Titusville.com to be linked to the portal.
To obtain your web pin, please email your address/company name and username to buildingpermits@titusville.com.

Paper Plans
Beginning June 1st the Titusville Building Department will no longer accept any paper plans larger than 11 by 17. The Building Department encourages the use of our online portal and uploading your plans electronically. If you need assistant with the online portal please contact 321-567-3760.
New Construction Single-Family
As of February 28th, 2019, we have adopted a new policy concerning finished floor elevations. If you are planning to build a new single-family house or already are in the process make sure to familiarize yourself with this New Single Family Residential FFE Policy (DOC).
Notice of Commencement (NOC) Policy
If recording a Notice of Commencement will be required for pulling your permit, please familiarize yourself with the Notice of Commencement Policy (DOC).
State Notice
The State of Florida Legislature and the Florida Building Commission have announced the adoption of the Florida Building Code, the Edition (2020) and the National Electric Code National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)-70 (2017) as the statewide minimum construction standards.
