Child Seat Information & Proper Installation Classes & Reduced Cost Child Seats
The Titusville Fire and Emergency Services Department provides child seat information and proper installation classes to residents. This is a one and a half to two-hour class (scheduled by appointment only), which ensures that the seat is installed in your vehicle correctly to provide the maximum available protection to your child. For an appointment for this class, contact Fire Department Headquarters office at 567-3804. You must be a resident of Titusville to be eligible for this program.
University of Florida Child Passenger Safety Program
Our department receives car seats through the University of Florida Child Passenger Safety Program to support the distribution of child safety seats at reduced costs for those who are considered by the federal government to be within the low or moderate income levels. Prices for these seats are $50 (qualification and cost is determined by the department’s Life Safety Specialist). Prior to receiving a reduced cost child safety seat, the caregiver must attend the information and installation class noted.
